Cooking with Hormel

I have been working a lot with Hormel over the last few weeks. I wanted to take this time to share with you some of my favorite recipes from the Superbowl weekend! Let me know what you guys think!

Spicy Chili Dip
Servings: This recipe is recommended for 16 servings
Ingredients
1 (16-ounce) block velveta
1 (16-ounce) jar CHI-CHI’S® Original Recipe Salsa Medium
1 (15-ounce) can HORMEL® Chili No Beans
1 (12-ounce) package Little Sizzlers® Sausage Links, cooked and crumbled
1 (8-ounce) block cream cheese, softened
Tortilla chips

Directions:
In saucepan, combine cheese product and salsa. Cook over low heat, stirring, until cheese is melted. Add chili, sausage and cream cheese. Cook until heated thoroughly. Serve in slow cooker with chips.

Cheesy Loaf
Ingredients
Servings: This recipe is recommended for 8 servings
1 (16-ounce) loaf French bread
2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
2 cups HORMEL® CURE 81® Diced Ham
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1/3 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup CHI-CHI’S® Diced Green Chilies

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cut thin slice from top of bread loaf. Remove center from loaf, leaving 1/2-inch wall; reserve removed bread.
  3. In bowl, combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Fill bread shell with ham mixture. Place top of bread over ham mixture. Wrap loaf in aluminum foil; place on baking sheet.
  4. Bake filled loaf 1 hour 15 minutes or until hot. Serve dip with reserved bread and/or tortilla chips.

Ham It Up
Ingredients
Servings: This recipe is recommended for 12 servings
2 (12-ounce) packages dinner rolls
1 cup butter, softened
1 onion, grated
3 tablespoons poppy seeds
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard or 1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 (8-ounce) packages HORMEL® NATURAL CHOICE® Cooked Deli Ham
12 slices Swiss cheese

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Slice dinner rolls horizontally in half.
  3. In bowl, combine butter, onion, poppy seeds, mustard and Worcestershire sauce; spread over bottom halves of rolls. Top with ham and cheese. Cover with top halves of rolls. Wrap in aluminum foil; place on baking sheet.
  4. Bake sandwiches 20 to 30 minutes or until hot and cheese is melted.
