Sometimes you have to stop and smell the roses. We go and go and go… almost like we are on auto pilot, never stopping to truly take in the moment. The pre-Valentine roses Sean bought me made me pause and realize that sometimes despite a crazy busy life that I do need to stop and have a deeper appreciation of the world around me. It is important to be mindful of others and be present in the moments that pass by so quickly. Spend quality time with people we love. Truly connect with friends and families. Not via a text or email but with a meaningful visit. True love is not about roses or gifts (now those are great) it’s about giving of ourselves! The day in and day out unconditional love that makes a difference…With our kids. Our friends. Our significant other. Pay attention to the good things in your life. Be consciously positive and uplifting. Live a happier nonjudgmental life. And actually stop and smell the roses….the smell is wonderful! Happy Valentine’s Week!
